'Thy Kingdom Come', 1891 Edition, p153 (see left) shows the false prophecy of the WBTS (as clearly admitted here!) that Babylon (Christendom) would pass away by 'the end of A.D. 1914'. 

We all know that this prophecy failed!

Zion's Watch Tower, January 15, 1892, p21-23 - 'The Battle of Armageddon' supposedly raged from 1874 to 1914 - although no one noticed it!  Was it the quietest battle in the history of the world?

The comprehensive description of the WBTS 'false prophecy' exposes them just as comprehensively:

'The Scripture show also that the battle of the great day will begin with the church of God and that the overthrow of the great nominal church systems will precede the overthrow of the present civil powers; for the Lord is about to shake, not only the earth (the civil organization of society), but heaven (the ecclesiastical powers) also (Heb. 12:26) to the end that great "Babylon," falsely called Christendom - Christ's kingdom - may be completely destroyed. The great counterfeit kingdom of Christ, with all its allied civil and ecclesiastical powers, must go down as a great millstone into the sea, preparatory to the final establishment of the true kingdom of Christ.'

Obviously none of this happened.

As stated earlier, the WBTS follow the same path as all deceivers and make heavy use of 'Emperor's New Clothes' theology, i.e. they make statements based on absolutely no evidence, while constantly 're-adjusting' their claims to try and cover the blatant failures using nothing more convincing than a play-on-words!

If the Lord Jesus Christ had not clearly warned us (Matthew 24:23-27) how to refute claims such as C.T. Russell's more people that those deceived by 'End-Times cults' might have been fooled by such 'false prophets' - but the truth is clear to all 'who have ears to hear it' and 'eyes to see' that the WBTS are truly false prophets!










































































On the left we have two pages of false prophecies from Studies in the Scriptures, Series IV, "The Day of Vengeance" (pre-1912) - "The Battle of Armageddon" (1912 and later), written in 1897 by Pastor C. T. Russell, p620-621 - we read:

'But now we are in the end of this Gospel age, and the Kingdom is being established or set up.  Our Lord, the appointed King, is now present, since October 1874, A.D., according to the testimony of the prophets, to those who have ears to hear it: and the formal inauguration of his kingly office dates from April 1878, A.D.: and the first work of the Kingdom, as shown by our Lord, in his parables and prophecy (the gathering of "his elect"), is now in progress.'
